Our History

Established in 1930 by Norman Saylor, Jr., father of current owners, Kurt M. and Kent P. Saylor, Saylor Insurance Service, Inc. is the oldest locally owned agency in Sabetha. Saylor Insurance began in the Morrill State Bank in Morrill, Kansas, and moved to Sabetha in 1978.

Since that time, Saylor Insurance has been servicing the insurance needs of our customers in the surrounding communities such as Sabetha, Bern, Seneca, Fairview, Morrill, and Hiawatha and including counties such as Nemaha, Brown, Jackson, Richardson, and Pawnee and throughout the rest of Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. We are dedicated to looking for ways to save you money while getting you the best insurance products and services available today to protect you, your family, and your business.

Saylor Insurance Service, Inc. is located at 21 Main Street, in the Morrill & Janes Bank building, in Sabetha, Kansas. On January 1st, 2000, Saylor Insurance announced the acquisition of Sulco Inc. in Sabetha, KS, and on April 4th, 2005, also announced the acquisition of the First State Insurance Agency in Goff, KS. As a team, we take great pride in the friendships we build with our customers. We treat all our customers the same way we like to be treated: with honesty, integrity, and respect.

Saylor Insurance is a member of the Independent Insurance Agent organization. Being a part of this respected organization allows us to work with numerous, select insurance companies that have proven their performance over the years. This provides us the opportunity to put our customers' best interest and needs first.
